Sherry A. (Painter) King

Sherry A. King, age 72, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at her residence in Huntington.

Sherry was born on March 15, 1953, in Chicago, IL, to the late Lutellus and Margaret (Ramsey) Painter.  She married Mitchell K. King in Lawton, OK, on April 16, 1969, and he survives. 

Along with her husband, Sherry is survived by two sons, Daniel (Rose) King, Geneva, IN, Keith (Jennifer) King, Jamesville, NC; one brother, Scott Painter; one sister, Debra Hedgepath, both of TN; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Penny Cockman.

To honor the wishes of Sherry there will be no services.
